Floating Support - Statement of purpose

Triangle floating support services provide intensive housing support to those with a wide range of housing issues and complex needs. Our floating support officers are specially trained to provide support and advice to people who face housing difficulties including: homelessness, anti social behaviour, neighbour nuisance, household management, hoarding, securing and maintaining tenancies and all other housing related issues. The floating support service can support individuals for up to a maximum of 2 years and covers the Northern Trust area and Belfast.

Contribution to National and Local Strategies:

The NIHE ‘Ending Homelessness Together’ Strategy 2022 to 2027 - The vision of ‘Ending Homelessness Together’ reflects a continued need for the Housing Executive to work with our partners across the sector to address the varied and complex factors that lead to homelessness, many of which extend beyond the provision of accommodation.

Supporting People Draft Three Year Strategic and Covid Recovery Plan 2022-2025 - To provide housing support services to people across Northern Ireland based on demonstrable need. Aiding recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, working to close the gap between need and supply, and contributing to the achievement of positive housing outcomes for all.

Referal process:

Below you will find an application form for your area, please note that we can only accept a Self Referral form for the service if you have previously used the service and your case has closed in the last 12 months. All forms must be completed fully and referral agent information and signature should be included. Referral agents include anyone who knows you well, including GP’s, Social Workers, Probation Officers, Housing Officer, Advice agency, The Northern Ireland Housing Executive or any other Statotory or Voluntary agency.
