NewsTriangle support Patchwork through Charitable Giving Committee
In 2009 Triangle requested online applications from local charities for a three year funding partnership sponsored by their Charitable Giving Committee. The committee is pleased to announce that Patchwork Ireland has been selected as their long term partner. Patchwork Ireland is a Drugs and Alcohol Rebuilding Project; chosen because of the quality of their submission and the sterling work the organisation does within the Coleraine area. Chris Alexander, Chief Executive Officer, Triangle comments “We are delighted to be associated with Patchwork and in particular its work with people with alcohol and drugs addictions. We are confident that this service will build better futures not only for people using this service but it will bring benefits to the local community” The money will be used to employ staff, and finance intervention and support programmes which are delivered through dedicated volunteers. Mandy Logan, Chief Executive Officer, Patchwork (Ireland) comments “We are delighted to be working alongside Triangle as we further develop our services supporting people struggling with addictions. We have already seen significant improvement in a number of people’s lives and situations as they tackle their addiction. We want to see our local community set free from the grip of addiction and can only achieve this through partnership with other local organisations, like Triangle, who are committed to seeing that through.” Patchwork is using the financial support provided by Triangle to develop a sustainable and effective programme that empowers adults from the Coleraine area to tackle their addictions and provides them with the practical and emotional support they need along that journey. |
